Kremmling, CO to Walden, CO (8000ft) -80 miles
Finally some nice weather and road conditions! The views yesterday were impressive but I really got to appreciate it today. I feel a bit for Runyon, he really suffered for the worst of it and missed out on this much more enjoyable day. Was out around 6 am and followed the Colorado River towards its headwaters. Eventually I climbed away towards Willow Pass up to 9700 ft. The views/geology/ecosystems rapidly changes one after another. Going through the Arapaho National Forest was very serene. Eventually I headed back down into a large valley with large peaks in the distance in all directions. Weather was an awesome dry 55- 75 degrees through the the morning and afternoon.
